Dubai-based cargo airline SolitAir has been granted the Air Cargo or Mail Carrier from a Third Country Airport (ACC3) designation, enabling it to transport cargo into European Union (EU) member states under strict security regulations.

The certification, issued by the Belgium Civil Aviation Authority, took effect on March 19. It confirms that the airline meets the European Union’s stringent aviation security standards for cargo and mail entering the bloc.

In a statement shared on LinkedIn, the airline described the approval as a “stamp of trust.”

“It is our commitment to compliance, security, and supply chain integrity, validated at the highest level,” the airline said. “The designation ensures cargo transported between the UAE and Europe is supported by full EU regulatory compliance and end-to-end security controls across the entire supply chain.”

Under EU regulations, all carriers operating cargo or mail flights from non-EU countries into the bloc must obtain ACC3 certification for each departure airport. The process requires an EU Aviation Security Validation conducted by an accredited independent validator. Once approved and registered in the EU database, the certification remains valid for up to five years.

SolitAir, which launched operations in autumn 2024, operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 freighter aircraft. The airline provides both scheduled and charter cargo services from Dubai World Central Airport, connecting major trade routes across Asia, Africa, the CIS, and the Middle East.

Looking ahead, the airline said it plans to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft by 2027, with the goal of connecting over 50 cities within a 6 hr. flight radius from Dubai.
