Premier Private Jets Acquires Dayton-Based Aviation Sales

Premier Private Jets, a charter, FBO and MRO service provider, has acquired Aviation Sales, an FBO at Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio. The acquisition, which will be rebranded as part of the Premier network, expands Premier Private Jets’ FBO capabilities and its presence in the Dayton area. The acquisition also includes an FBO at the Oakland County International Airport in Pontiac, Michigan, near Detroit. Premier Private Jets, founded in 2013, is based in Stuart, Florida. Premier MRO in Dayton offers airframe, engine, avionics, paint and interior services. ASI, in business for 67 years, includes 20,000 ft.2 of hangar and office space and 195,000 ft.2 of ramp space, which allows it to handle the largest of private aircraft, Premier says.

Execujet Completes St. Thomas Private Aviation Terminal

Execujet, an FBO at Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, has completed construction of a private aviation terminal. The company offers services such as a private bathroom with shower, flight planning station, full kitchen and complimentary crew car privileges, among others. Its apron accommodates passenger drop-off, GUP hook-up and parking for aircraft and direct access to the airport’s 7,000-ft. runway. The FBO offers fueling, quick turns, U.S. customs pre-clearance, standby AOG support and other services.

Signature Expands European SAF Locations

Signature Aviation announced six new locations in Europe where operators can fuel with blended sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), bringing the number of Signature locations offering SAF worldwide to 33. Signature said March 24 that blended SAF will be available this year at Paris Airport-Le Bourget (LBG) in France, and East Midlands (EMA), London Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), London Luton (LTN) and Manchester (MAN) airports in England. In October 2024, Signature said it would offer blended SAF (consisting of 35% “neat” SAF and 65% conventional jet fuel) this year at six new locations in the U.S. Following a supply agreement with Valero Marketing and Supply Co., it made blended SAF available at Dallas Love Field (DAL), Washington Dulles International (IAD), Miami International (MIA), Miami-Opa Locka Executive (OPF), Palm Beach International (PBI) and Teterboro airports (TEB).

The latest supply agreements will add access to 50 million gal. of blended SAF to its FBO network through 2025, Signature said. The company now supplies SAF at eight locations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and recently surpassed 50 million gal. of SAF pumped worldwide.

Gama Aviation To Open $60M FBO At Sharjah Airport Near Dubai

Gama Aviation is opening a new $60 million FBO at Sharjah International Airport near Dubai to serve as an FBO and business aviation center. The site will replace Gama Aviation’s current FBO, which opened more than 10 years ago. It serves as the only FBO at Sharjah Airport. The move comes as Gama Aviation projects an increase in business aviation traffic through the airport, it said.  Sharjah Airport is also becoming a hub for medevac aircraft.

The new facility will be located at the end of a runway, which will accommodate quicker taxi times and turnarounds as well as other operational efficiencies, Engin Basyurt, Gama Aviation’s head of business development, told Aviation Week. Medevac operators, who now have a 5-min. taxi time, will experience a taxi time of 60-90 sec. with the facility’s new location, company officials said.

Avflight Corp. acquired an Executive Air facility at Green Bay/Austin Straubel International Airport. It also announced the expansion of its FBO network with the addition of a second location in Wisconsin. The new FBO, located at Green Bay/Austin Straubel International Airport (KGRB), serves as the company’s 27th FBO globally. According to Avflight, the new facility includes 16,918 ft.² of office space and 76,414 ft.² of hangar space and is capable of housing super midsize and heavy jets. The facility also features pilot and passenger lounges, private showers, a flight planning room, WSI computerized weather, a theater and a game room.

Business Jet in Dallas received Phillips 66 Aviation’s inaugural Safe Sky Award at NBAA’s Schedulers & Dispatchers event.

Jet Out has opened its newest base at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, making it the company’s first move outside the U.S. Midwest. The Fort Lauderdale-based fleet began serving customers in September when the company took delivery of two Citation CJ4 Gen2s. Its facility is located within Sheltair FBO.

Weston Aviation, in association with Aether, launched its FBO services at the Private Terminal at Manchester Airport. Aether opened its facility in late 2024 as an airport terminal exclusive to private jet operators and business aviation passengers. With Weston’s collaboration, the terminal will now offer dedicated tailored ground handling and support services.

George Priester Aviation is celebrating its 80th anniversary as a multi-generational, family-run private aviation services provider. The company opened in 1945 by George Priester as a flight training school for military veterans at Palwaukee Airport, Illinois. It now operates three bases in the U.S. and manages almost 90 aircraft across the three brands.
