Textron Systems Forms International Business Development Organization
Wilmington, MA, USA - September 7, 1998 - Textron Systems announced today, the formation of its International Business Development Organization. The organization will work to develop markets outside the U.S. for Textron Systems smart weapons such as the Sensor Fuzed, defense electronics systems including the Mobile Microwave Landing System and commercial products including advanced materials and infrared sensors.
Bob Buckley, Textron Systems Vice President, Business Development stated that, "Expanding our marketing and sales efforts beyond the U.S. aligns with Textron's strategic business objective to increase international sales. For example, with personnel from our London field office, we have begun work toward a more complete understanding of Ministry of Defence requirements."
Textron Systems has appointed representatives in eleven countries. These representatives will provide a presence for Textron Systems in Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Rim areas. The company plans to continue to place representatives in additional target market countries.
