Messier Combines with Messier

Making its first appearance at Farnborough-having been formed only on July 1-Messier Services is a new company with a long history. Operating with a staff of 1,200, it is an amalgamation of customer support and maintenance elements from Messier-Dowty and Messier-Bugatti, as well as the Dowty Aerospace Aviation Services operations recently acquired by Snecma. The prime role of Messier services is maintenance, repair and overhaul of landing gear and braking equipment for all types of aircraft, including the entire Airbus family, Boeing 727, 747 and DC-8, Fokker airliners, ATR 42/72, and Dornier 228/328.
