Global Express Due for FAA Approval Soon, Deliveries Too

FAA certification for the Bombardier Global Express is "imminent," says the company. The first customer aircraft should be delivered for completion in the next few days, and customer deliveries are due to start in early 1999. The company expects to deliver 15 green aircraft this year, and to ramp up to a sustained three-per-month production rate in 1999. Eighty of the long-range jets are on order.
