Raytheon Offers 'Inside' Look at Aircraft on Exhibit

Visitors to Raytheon Aircraft's Booth 7528 and the static display at McCarran will get an "inside" look at several of the company's new products.

Raytheon is featuring a new interior for its Hawker 800XP, an interior section of the 1900D Executive, and full-size cabin mockups of the new Premier I and Hawker Horizon business jets.

"We kept the best of what our customers liked and updated areas they wanted to see improved," John Kraft, group engineer, industrial design and visualization, said of the 800XP interior. The first new interior will be installed on the 1,000th production unit, which was acquired by Grand Rapids, MI-based Gainey Corp.

Included are leather seats, oval window frames in place of the old square ones, sconce lighting with decorative trim between the windows, restyled side panel work tables for easier access, and styling trim on the sidewalls to match the seats. The partial cabin mock-up is at the NBAA static display.

The 1900D Executive is the corporate version of the Beech 1900 regional airliner. Featured in the Executive version is a 12-seat layout in three club-four groupings. Other variants include the Shuttle, which provides airline-style seating for 18 employees, and a dual-function configuration, which combines 12 shuttle seats with a club-four arrangement. The partial cabin mock-up at the static display features the Executive configuration.

The Premier I mock-up also is near the company's static display at the airport, while the Hawker Horizon mock-up is on display at Raytheon Aircraft's booth on the convention center floor.

A full line of actual aircraft will be at the static display as well, including the Hawker 800XP, 1900D, the entire King Air family, a Beech Baron 58, a Beech Bonanza A36 and a B36TC and a Beechjet 400A.
