Maryland's PATS Obtains an STC for Tail-Mounted Falcon 20 APU

PATS Inc. of Columbia, MD (Booths 5448 & 5451) has received a supplemental type certificate for installation of a Sundstrand T-40C9 auxiliary power unit in Falcon 20s. The company says that the tail-mounted unit frees up space in the maintenance bay and offers shorter delivery lead times and lower acquisition and service costs than alternative installations. The T-40C9 is certificated to start from sea level to 25,000 feet, and can operate to 35,000 feet.
