Million Air Expands

"Since November, we have added FBO affiliates in: Orlando, FL; Monterey CA; Nassau, Bahamas; and Seattle/Everett, WA," said Louis Pepper, Million Air president. "These facilities are among the best and newest in the industry. It seems we're getting newer as we are getting older."

The Orlando facility, previously known as Jett Aire, is located at Orlando-Sanford and includes a 10,000-square-foot lobby and two 30,000-square-foot hangars available for aircraft storage and maintenance. Sanford is 18 minutes from downtown Orlando and 30 minutes from Disney World. Courtesy and rental cars are available, as is with limousine service.

The Monterey facility, previously the Del Monte Jet Center, has an 8,300-square-foot terminal lounge along with computerized color radar and flight planning for pilots. A new, 25,000-square-foot hangar is available, as are services such as aircraft maintenance, charter, aircraft management, rental and sales. Pilots also can enjoy a separate lounge with oversize television, bath and private "snooze" rooms.

Million Air has expanded its Nassau operations with the completion of a 22,000-square-foot hangar and office facility. The $800,000 development can store aircraft up to and including the size of the Gulfstream V and Bombardier Global Express. Office space is available for based tenants. Customs and immigration are also located at the facility.

In another area, Million Air said it's increased its training for line service. In a new program, key representatives from each location attend a two-day training session in Dallas.

"The training programs represent a considerable investment for our company, but we feel it is the right investment as compared to giving away trinkets and toys to attract business. The benefits from this program will be long lasting for our customers and company," Pepper said.

The Million Air chain has 28 facilities in 18 states, Toronto and Nassau.
