New Interior for Hawker 800XP on Display Here

The Hawker 800XP's restyled interior can be seen in a partial cabin mock-up at Raytheon Aircraft's static display at McCarran. The latest Hawker also will feature several upgraded avionics systems and new interior and exterior paint schemes.

The Hawker 800XP interior features restyled and retailored aircraft seats, redesigned window frames (with shape changed from square to oval), sidewall lighting, restyled side-panel work tables, and sidewall trim that matches the seats.

The aircraft also features a new trim paint developed by PPG Industries. The first new interior and paint will be featured in the 1,000th production Hawker, which has been ordered by Gainey Corp. of Grand Rapids, MI.

New avionics and systems upgrades now standard in the 800XP include:

  • A Honeywell NZ2000 version 5.1 flight management system that has a larger navigation database, among other features;

  • A Honeywell TCAS 2000, an improved TCAS unit that has an extended range of 80 nmi and 120 nmi;

  • Communication radios with 8.33-kHz channel spacing to meet European regulatory requirements;

  • An electronic standby instrument system, which combines attitude, altitude and air-speed instruments in one active-matrix, LCD, flat-panel display; and

  • New Scott Magic Oxygen Mask/smoke goggles that combine two formerly separate devices.

A record 50 Hawkers are scheduled to roll off the production line this year.
