Raisbeck Engineering Sales Soar

Raisbeck Engineering, Inc., today announced that sales through the 3rd Quarter 1998 were the best in the company?s history, with over 300 Systems sold this year to King Air operators worldwide.

Raisbeck Systems are designed to improve the performance of the King Air and Super King Air in one or more of these ways: payload, range, block speed, operation flexibility, operating cost, and style.

Sales were highlighted by the January 1998 delivery of 125 Ram Air Recovery Systems and Dual Aft Body Strakes for the U.S. Army?s C-12 aircraft. The Army was seeking a way to reduce maintenance problems and improve aircraft safety, and the Raisbeck Systems met or exceeded their requirements.

1998 has also been the year of the Nacelle Wing Locker. Raytheon Aircraft Services has made the Raisbeck Nacelle Wing Lockers an option for all new King Airs and Super King Airs. Nearly 50% of all new Super King Air 350s are now delivered with Nacelle Wing Lockers. The lockers, which provide an additional 16 cubic feet of storage space, have allowed Part 135 operators to use seats for passengers instead of luggage.

Raisbeck has sold multiple Systems thus far in 1998 to air ambulance services. Air ambulance operators purchase the Raisbeck Systems for dispatch reliability, safe access to thousands more airfields, and speed improvements which enable them to effectively deliver critical care services.

Demand for Raisbeck Systems is on the increase in Europe, where commercial operators must adhere to Balanced Field Length performance by the year 2000. A tremendous benefit of the Raisbeck Systems is the improved BFL performance that allows operators to fly safely and legally into thousands more airfields.

Raisbeck Systems are now flying on half of the world?s Super King Air 200/B200s, and 30% of the entire production run of 5,000 King Airs of all types.

Raisbeck Engineering, Inc., continues its longstanding tradition of improving corporate, business, and airline aircraft performance and productivity through the integration of advanced technology on current airplanes.
