Conklin & de Decker Publishes Aircraft Acquisition Planning

Conklin & de Decker-the aviation research and consulting firm with offices in Orleans, MA and Arlington, Texas, has recently released Aircraft Acquisition Planning, the first of three planned new textbooks.

The new book, which costs $49.95, discusses how to evaluate aircraft needs, define key missions, analyze alternatives (including financing) and write an aircraft acquisition plan. Real-world examples are used to illustrate the steps of good management and acquisition planning.

Conklin & de Decker also has recently published the fall 1998 edition of The Aircraft Cost Evaluator. The 30th edition of the publication, which was originally released in 1971, covers nearly 300 aircraft, from the Bell 47 to the Boeing 747. Thirteen new aircraft have been added in the latest edition, and aircraft direct costs and acquisition prices have been updated for all models. In addition, the publication's fractional ownership supplement has been expanded, as has the guaranteed maintenance supplement. Prices range from $350 for the piston aircraft database to $465 for the jet database.
