Renaissance Commander on Display

Byerly Aviation's Renaissance Commander, on show and on offer here (Booth 5773 and Static Display), is fast in more ways than one. Byerly flew the aircraft, the fourth Renaissance Commander produced by the Peoria, IL, company, on September 8, only 93 days after starting the rebuild process.

Between the first flight and the opening of the show, Byerly completed the aircraft with new paint and a new interior in less than 127 days.

An authorized Twin Commander Renaissance Center, Byerly is preparing to start its next aircraft. According to general manager Jeff Cousins, the very comprehensive Renaissance rebuild program benefits the customer: "They benefit from the efficiency of accomplishing everything at once."

The aircraft on show here, priced at $1,795,000, includes 1,000-shp AlliedSignal TPE331-10T engines, UltraQuiet Cabin active noise-canceling system, and a new avionics suite with Ryan 9900B collision avoidance, a Trimble AirCell phone, and digitally controlled Collins radios.
