Boeing Awards BBJ Maintenance Tracking Program to Camp Systems Boeing has awarded Camp Systems International (Booth 8100) a contract to develop the factory-authorized maintenance tracking and management program for the Boeing Business Jet. Under the terms of the agreement, Boeing will provide an initial subscription to the Camp SP program to BBJ purchasers. According to BBJ officials, Camp was selected for its 30-year history of successfully developing and operating maintenance management programs for virtually all turbine-powered business aircraft. Camp currently supports more than 2,000 aircraft operated by nearly 1,000 customers worldwide. The Camp BBJ program will allow mixed-fleet operators to seamlessly integrate the BBJ into their maintenance programs since all Camp programs have a common look and feel, both for online access to records and for hard copy documents. Camp officials stated that Camp SP customers are supported by experienced maintenance analysts, expert in the aircraft model, and its configuration for each customer. Analysts provide individual consultation and personally review all customers' maintenance data updates for accuracy and consistency. They also review all reports sent to customers. Camp SP customers receive regular reports on their aircraft's maintenance status, its maintenance history, and a listing of upcoming scheduled maintenance requirements. Customers can also access and update their data through a dial-up link, or via the Internet. Camp says this direct access to maintenance records from anywhere in the world is especially valuable to operators of intercontinental aircraft. The BBJ can be configured with as many as nine auxiliary fuel tanks that give it a range of 7,000 statute miles (6,180 nm or 11,270 kilometers).
