Wulfsberg Transceivers Are to Be Narrow-Band Capable

Wulfsberg Electronics (Booth 1725) is beta-testing a product upgrade for its RT9600 and RT9600F FM transceivers that will allow the units to operate on narrow-band 12:5 KHz channels. The modification to the C962 control head, to be available by April, includes increasing the preset channel memory to 225 channels, integration of a CTCSS tone module, new thumb wheel switches and a new, 12-character, dot-matrix display. Wulfsberg has also disclosed that it's designing P25-compatible FM tactical radio equipment for airborne applications, with a view to integrating the Project 25 standard into its Flexcomm II RT5000 multi-band transceivers. A new line of P25-compatible single band panel mount and remote tuned radios is in the works, too.
