It's Litton for U.S. Army's Omnibus V Night-Vision Imagers

Litton's Electro-Optical Systems division has won a majority share of the U.S. Army's Communication-Electronics Command's three-year contract for Omnibus V, a co-production contract for night vision systems and image intensification tubes. Litton was awarded $18.9 million as part of a fixed-price contract for enhanced third-generation night vision devices and associated spares. Contract value, with all options, could exceed $196.5 million. Work will be performed in Garland, Texas and Tempe, Arizona. It is expected to be completed by March 31, 2001. Elsewhere Litton's PRC subsidiary has been named primary subcontractor to OAO Corp. providing analysis for the North American Air Defense (NORAD)/U.S. Space Command Mission and Architecture Support contract. The nine-year contract has a potential value of $50 million to Litton.
