The next generation of U.S. Army mobile cannons and ammunition carriers, now being developed for use in the 21st century, will have a moving map system, a display console, datalink, navigation systems and tactical situation display systems not unlike fighter aircraft. Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems recently was tapped by United Defense, LP to provide additional equipment that will form an essential part of Crusader's advanced vehicle electronics suite.
