BFGoodrich Helps Keep Airbus Aircraft Safe and Passengers Warm

BFGoodrich has signed an agreement to provide Lan Chile, Grupo TACA and TAM, with wheels and brakes to equip their new fleets of 88 Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. Lan Chile has 20 firm and 40 optional orders and will receive their first four A320s in fourth quarter 2000. Grupo TACA has 30 firm and 30 optional orders and receives its first delivery in fourth quarter 2000. TAM will receive its first A319s in March 1999 with a total of 10 aircraft to be in service by end of 1999. Elsewhere BFGoodrich will supply new floor panel heaters as standard equipment on Airbus A330/A340 aircraft. The panels provide supplemental heat for aircraft entryways and ensure passenger comfort on long flights. The floor panels are designed for the life of the aircraft and are mounted to the structural floor where cold spots can occur.
