Gulfstream and Rolls-Royce Celebrate 40th Anniversary

More than 1,000 Gulfstream I, II, III, IV, IV-SP and V aircraft have been built with Rolls-Royce or BMW/Rolls-Royce engines. Each aircraft has logged the highest engine reliability records for any aircraft in its class, according to Bill Boisture, Gulfstream Aerospace's president and COO. Gulfstream will deliver the 350th GIV-SP, powered by the Rolls-Royce Tay, this year, and the firm has just announced the 100th order for the GV, equipped with a BMW/Rolls engine. The Gulfstream I, powered by Rolls-Royce Dart turboprops, first flew on August 14, 1958.
