Peal of Bells Tie for First Place
in Great Paris-Berlin Race

ILA 2000: Well, the Great Race from Paris to Berlin for Bell 407 helicopters was a splendid idea, but not everything always goes according to plan. First the entry field narrowed to just two competitors, then bad weather prevented a full-speed run between the two capitals. Nevertheless, the two competitors arrived at Schonefeld late Monday afternoon (above), proving their practicality for travel in Europe.
