Raytheon to Sell Bizjet Business?

ILA 2000: Raytheon, the third-largest US defense contractor, may sell its aircraft operations to cut debt and focus on its main defense businesses, analysts and investors say.

Forbes magazine said this week that Raytheon hired Credit Suisse First Boston Inc. as an adviser for a sale. Raytheon and Credit Suisse First Boston declined to comment.

Raytheon could get $2 billion to3 billion for the aircraft business, which had $2.7 billion in sales last year.
