Bizjet Boom Seen Slowing

ILA 2000: The business jet boom is about to slow after tripling in value between 1995 and 2000, according to a new 10-year forecast released by Teal Group here at ILA 2000.

The market, at about $10 billion in 1999, is now the same size as the world fighter aircraft business,Teal noted. But though a decline will begin next year, the worst years will be better than any before 1999.

Some 6,437 bizjets worth $78.3 billion will be produced over the next 10 years, compared with 3,716 worth $45.6 billion in the previous decade, Teal said.
