AlliedSignal Offers New Flashing Anti-Collision Beacon

AlliedSignal Aerospace is promoting a new flashing anti-collision beacon for business aircraft that replaces older model tandem oscillating beacons. Among other improvements, the new beacon uses halogen lights and electronic circuitry, eliminating the need for the maintenance-intensive gears and motors required by earlier models. "We designed our new beacon to be fully on-equipment field repairable," says Bob Marcom of AlliedSignal's OEM (original equipment manufacturers) Lighting Units. The new anti-collision beacon is available through Grimes Lighting, or through AAR fixed-base operations worldwide
