Dassault Falcons Play Many Roles
The number of Falcon jets Dassault has delivered to operators
reached 1,331 this month. Of these aircraft, some 20% are in military
or government service. They fly not only as VIP transports, but
undertake a range of other diverse roles including weapons system
training, maritime surveillance, ECM training, aerial photography
and mapping, airways inspection, and target tow and air ambulance
tasks. Falcon 900s, for example, have been adopted by the governments
or governmental organizations of 25 countries and can be found
in service in Australia, France, Italy, Japan, Spain, Malaysia,
Russia and elsewhere. Since the first Falcon 20 flew in 1963,
the worldwide fleet has logged over 8.5 million flight hours.
