CAMP Systems Introduces Web-Based
Options
Maintenance, inventory and flight scheduling data can be accessed
from anywhere in the world with AviSource, CAMP Systems International's
new web-based aviation management system.
Operating either independently or as an integrated system, AviSource
offers three separate components: Maintenance Management, Inventory
Control and Flight Scheduling.
When operated as a complete system, users benefit from AviSource's
relational database technology. One advantage of the technology
is an automatic update feature that takes data entered in one
part of the program and automatically revises related sections
elsewhere in the system. This application can be tailored to an
individual user's desire for information integrity or confidentiality.
AviSource's relational database can help streamline the maintenance
process, generating checklist summaries for inspections and tasks,
including lists of consumable items and required tools. It will
also inform operators of additional inspections than can be accomplished
when opening access panels for current projects.
For inventory control, AviSource will track parts data throughout
an entire flight department, whether at a single facility or multiple
locations worldwide. On-demand, real-time reports are available
on the Internet whenever or wherever needed.
Entire trips can be planned and tracked using the flight scheduling
module which provides current information about FBOs, hotels,
fuel availability, airport specification and restrictions. With
Internet access, these features can be particularly useful for
en-route trip planning or changes.
When used in conjunction with the Maintenance Management module,
aircraft scheduling can also take into account pending maintenance
requirements.
Users of classic CAMP systems will find the features they're accustomed
to, as well as the increased benefits of relational database technology
and real-time global access which makes AviSource as mobile as
the flight departments it's supporting.
