Hoover sweeps up new instrument panel. Gulf Coast Avionics of Lakeland, Fla., has installed a custom-designed instrument panel in the Shrike Commander flown by veteran air show performer, Bob Hoover. Handed over in September by Gulf Coast president, Rick Garcia (right), the new panel includes dual Garmin GNS 430 NAV/COM/IFR GPS, the second of which is linked with the new GI-106A NAV/GPS indicator. A GTX-320 transponder was also installed, and the entire system integrated with a PS Engineering PMA-7000MS stereo audio system.
