A319CJ Sales Up to 18

Airbus has received at least four new commitments for its A319 Corporate Jet, boosting its order total to 18.

The news was revealed by Richard Gaona, A319CJ program VP. Although not all are firm, signed contracts, Airbus lists commitments from established, bona fide customers in its order backlog as most are eventually turned into firm contracts.

Gaona declined to disclose further information on the buyers. Business jet customers usually decline to be named for security and other reasons. Further details on Airbus A319CJ sales could surface today during a planned briefing by Airbus commercial operations VP Paul Mason.

The first A319CJ is in service, with two more scheduled to leave completion centers by early next year.
