Artex Aircraft Develops Lightweight Helicopter
Version of its ELT

Artex Aircraft of Canby, OR, showing at booth 1934 on the floor of the Georgia World Congress Center, has added a new emergency locator transmitter to its already extensive line of ELTs. The new Artex ELT200HM is the smallest and lightest of the ELTs currently available for helicopters. It is 2.5 by 2.75 by 6.25 inches and weighs only 1.91 pounds. Its features include a six-axis "G" switch, a four-year lithium battery pack to enable greater periods between battery replacement, and high-impact lexan impregnated polycarbonate construction to insure trouble-free operation and long life. Artex received TSO C91a certification for the ELT200HM from the FAA on July 7, of this year. Shipments of the new beacon, designed to help locate an aircraft in an emergency, have already begun.
