SimuFlite D/FW Expansion On-Target for 2000

SimuFlite Training Center's 164,000 square-foot expansion at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is scheduled to be operational in April 2000. The enlarged center--double the training center's previous size--will accommodate 12 simulator bays, as well as additional classrooms, briefing rooms and office space. SimuFlite president Jeffrey Roberts says the new space will enable the GE subsidiary to expand its product line. SimuFlite is sharing the facility with Bombardier Aerospace, which will provide Learjet training programs. Roberts says GE Capital Aviation Training's purchase of SimuFlite Training International last year has "enabled us to be more aggressive in our growth initiatives than we were capable of being in the past."
