Austin Aero's Move to New Bergstrom Airport Pays Off

With only three of five planned hangars at the new Austin, TX, Bergstrom International Airport complete, Austin Aero Jet Center has already leased all of its hangar space, and the new FBO has captured 80% of the local market. The FBO includes a 15,000-square-foot terminal with boarding and waiting area, exercise/workout room, pilot's lounge, weather information system, flight planning room, showers, offices, secretarial services, fax machines and computers. The center offers quick turnaround; line services including cleaning, Jet A and AVGAS fuel; and long-term hangar services. Staff arranges for courtesy and rental cars, taxi and limousine service, restaurant reservations and entertainment recommendations. The site also includes nine acres of ramp space, 65 tie-down spaces and five 14,000-square-foot hangars.
