RTS Rework Expands Capabilities to Bell 206B and 206L

Fort Worth's RTS Rework (Booth 311) has gotten FAA approval for spur gear repair on Bell 206B and 206L main transmissions. RTS has a proprietary metal polishing technique its says restores turbine gears, gear shafts and compressor blades to better-than-new condition, and can save operators as much as 80% on maintenance. The company supports McDonnell/Hughes and Sikorsky aircraft in addition to Bell, and says spur gear repairs can be turned around in five days or less. RTS also sells "mint-reconditioned" parts, and says it's stepping up its work on Allison 250 engines with work on nozzle vanes, compressor blades, gearbox and other parts. The polishing process is said to improve engine performance.
