Business & Commercial Aviation magazine Scores Four at AJOYAs

Aviation Week Group’s Business & Commercial Aviation magazine was the top winner at this year’s Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards, with four trophies going to its writers. Richard N. Aarons, former editor-in-chief and current safety editor of B/CA, was given the Airbus Decade of Excellence award for sustained achievement in aerospace journalism. Taking the next top honor was Kathleen Bangs, presented with the Rolls-Royce Journalist of the Year Award. She also came away with the Best Safety Submission for her feature on intuition and accident avoidance. Chris Davis was given the AAAF Award for Best Maintenance Article on why and when to hire a full-time maintainer.

And last but not least, Mike Jerram, senior editor of Show News, took the Gulfstream Award for Best Business Aircraft Submission for his report on Raytheon’s Hawker Horizon.

It was a good night.
