Sikorsky is poised to announce a major order for commercial helicopters that could well be the biggest single sale it has recorded to a civilian operator. It is believed that the deal will be for upward of 25 S-76s. Prior to this, Sikorsky’s biggest single sale was for 15 S-76s (plus 24 options) for Offshore Logistics Inc. in 2003. That order was described as “monumental.”
