Continental Doubles First-Class Section on 757-300s

Continental Airlines will double the number of first-class seats on its Boeing 757-300 aircraft from 12 to 24 due to high demand for the service as it expands its fleet and deploys it to serve a more diverse set of markets. “We are seeing a significant increase in demand for our first-class product, a result of our competitive fares as well as our complimentary upgrade program for OnePass Elite members,” says Larry Kellner, chairman and CEO of Continental. The airline is expanding its 757-300 fleet from nine to 17. Aircraft will be reconfigured by the end of the summer.
