Three Be-103 Flying Boats Cross Russia

In order to exhibit their reliability, three Beriev Be-103 flying boats departed the Siberian aircraft builder KnAAPO on June 6 destined for St. Petersburg. The nearly 5,300-mile journey, with 16 stopovers for refueling, is planned to conclude on June 22 for two of the amphibious aircraft, while one of the third will continue to southern Russia.
