CMC’s Light Satcom Antenna on A380
A new lightweight satellite communications antenna by CMC Electronics is installed on the A380 flying here at the show — CMC says it has captured more than a 75% share of the market for satcom antennas. The CMA-2102 antenna system is used by 73 airlines as well as corporate and military customers. The new CMA-2102LW launched for the A380 is top mounted to eliminate multi-path interference and supports Inmarsat high-speed data services, both those currently in use and those planned for the future.
