Aircraft Manager for Canadian Maritime Helicopter

Sikorsky has picked CMC Electronics of Montreal to provide the latest open-architecture Aircraft Management System for the Canadian Maritime Helicopter Project. Sikorsky is under contract to provide AMS units for 28 H-92 Cyclone helicopters being procured by the Canadian Forces to replace the CH-124 Sea Kings that entered service in the 1960s. The CMA-2082MH uses a compact, power PC chip-set to govern flight management system operations as well as managing communications. The system also acts as a controller for the search and weather radar, the IFF, the self-defense and sonobuoy processing system, and the stores and armament management system.
