A380 Guided by Rockwell Collins at Paris

Rockwell Collins notes that the Airbus A380 aircraft on static display and flying at the Paris Air Show is equipped with a variety of the company’s communications and navigation systems. The avionics include the VHF-920 and HF-900 data radios, the VOR-900 receiver, the DME-900 distance measuring equipment and the ADF-900 automatic direction finder. In addition, a Rockwell Collins multi-mode receiver provides the aircraft’s primary position, velocity and time reference and is fully interoperable with global navigation and landing system requirements to meet current and future airspace constraints.
