Fleet Wide Rockwell Collins Data Link for Alitalia

Alitalia has selected Rockwell Collins data-link systems for its fleet of 139 aircraft, including Boeing 767s, MD11s, MD82s, Airbus A320s and A321s. Alitalia Servizi, a new subsidiary of the airline, will modify the aircraft. The equipment includes the CMU-900 communications management unit and the APM-900 aircraft personality module that stores a variety of parameters unique to a tail number. The Airbus fleets will also use Rockwell Collins’ AOC-900 aircraft operational communications data-link software.
