Goodrich Presents B747-400 Award to Virgin Atlantic
Goodrich Corp.’s Aircraft Wheels and Brakes division has presented Virgin Atlantic with a Boeing 747-400 Operational Excellence award in recognition of the 60% improvement in Series 400 carbon brake life the airline has realized since adopting Goodrich’s carbon brake life improvement recommendations. Jeff Livings, Virgin’s director of engineering, said, “Achieving one of the highest average B747-400 brake life levels in the world reflects a tremendous effort made by Goodrich and Virgin to secure the lowest possible costs.”
