Elisra Expands PAWS Functionality Beyond Missile Warning

The EO Missile Detection System PAWS originally designed by Elisra to spot and warn against missile attack can now be programmed to offer more advanced capabilities. For example, real-time images from all EO sensors are streamed into a situational picture offering full a peripheral view that can look into dead zones, where no visibility is possible without vision aids. With additional processing, the system can be "taught" to detect potential collisions with aircraft, ground or other objects, or spot hostile ground fire from light anti-aircraft guns and small-arms fire, which has been undetectable so far.
