Copterline, a privately held Finland-based carrier that flies Sikorsky S-76C+ helicopters in scheduled service, reports an overall dispatch rate of 99.7% on more than 37,000 flights during the company’s first five years of passenger service between Helsinki, Finland and Tallinn, Estonia. Sikorsky says Copterline has accumulated more than 12,000 hours of S-76C+ operation, “quite an achievement for a helicopter airline where each flight sector is only 18 minutes,” according to a statement. Overall, the company says there are nearly 600 S-76s operating in 44 countries by 192 operators, with the fleet as a whole accumulating more than 3.5 million flight hours.
