 Sikorsky Enhanced S-76C++

As a prelude to an all-new S-76D model to be launched in 2008, Sikorsky is offering additional enhancements to the S-76C+, now called the S-76C++. The ++ version features a Turbomeca Arriel 2S2 engine upgrade that provides a 350- to 450-lb increase in gross takeoff weight at sea level and 90°F; a barrier filter that better protects against FOD and contamination ingestion; a new VIP interior with better soundproofing; a Honeywell-built Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS); and Sikorsky’s proprietary Quiet Gearbox technology. The S76D will augment the ++ upgrades with a new main rotor blade, a quiet tail rotor, an icing protection system, a new cockpit and a PW210 engine. A mock-up of the S-76C++ interior, designed by Heritage Aviation and installed by Keystone Aviation, is on display in Hall B, Stand 3069.
