MH-60R Weapons System in Final Testing
Operational evaluation of the MH-60R Weapons System began at Patuxent River, Maryland, on May 10. This is the final stage of testing before the aircraft’s fleet introduction and delivery to the U.S. Navy. The final evaluation will test the on-board weapons subsystems including radars and other countermeasures. Also the evaluation of the aircraft’s multiple data sources to effectively manage workloads and make decisions will take place. The SH-60B and the SH-60F will both be replaced by the new MH-60R.
