XVionics Introduces ERP System for Squadron Management

Advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Decision Support Systems, which have been proving their worth in the management of commercial enterprises, are gradually being adopted for defense logistics. In the past decade, such systems were successfully implemented by the Israel Air Force, contributing to improved readiness, flight safety and increasing operational tempo. Designated the XV-OMS, the system is currently operational at wing and squadron level with all Israel Air Force fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and UAV units. The system demonstrated reducing annual squadron operating costs by nearly 25%, while increasing operational and combat efficiency by 125%. This enabled units to generate up to three times more sorties with the same aircraft and personnel resources. A compact variety of the latest version of the (V 3.0) system has already been operated by the IAF as part of its overseas deployments, in Canada and in Turkey. XVionics, the system developer, delivered the system to a NATO nation’s air force, where it is being deployed across 10 F-16 fighter squadrons. Six additional countries are currently evaluating the system for future application.
