Augmenting its fleet of oil field support helicopters operating in 30 countries, CHC Helicopter Corp. announced here at the show an initial acquisition of two AB139s, due for delivery later this year. Base will be Den Helder, Netherlands, where CHC’s leasing and support division, Heli-One, provides technical backup. There are currently 120 AB139s on back order and, says Bell/Agusta Managing Director Lou Bartolotta, “Having CHC…in the AB139 family is a further testimony to the commercial helicopter market’s overwhelming acceptance of the type.”
