Malaysia Airlines and Thales Sign MOU for IFE Repair and Support
Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Dahlan, managing director of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), and Olivier Guibert, Thales’ managing director at Singapore, signed a memorandum at the show to set up an inflight equipment repair and support center in Malaysia’s International Aerospace Park at Subang. Through the partnership the two companies are positioned to support Thales IFE systems not only for MAS’s forthcoming fleet, but for customers throughout the region, which constitutes the largest A380 order base. The deal is part of MAS’s program to assist the Malaysian government in making the Subang facility the regional hub for MRO aircraft.
