Goodrich Delivers First CTOL JSF Production Nosegear

The Goodrich Corp. will achieve a major milestone in the JSF program on June 13 when it ships the first nosegear assembly for the conventional takeoff and landing version of the F-35 to the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Goodrich will soon deliver the first CTOL JSF main landing gear to the same factory, and as landing systems integrator it is responsible for design, manufacture and test of unique similar components for the F-35 short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) and carrier versions (CV). Further Goodrich JSF responsibilities include fuel gauge components and wiring; the STOVL variant’s lift-fan drive shaft and material; weapons-bay door drive system; and many other key components.
