A400M Control and Monitoring System Completes Testing

Engine control and monitoring system (CMS) testing of the TP400-D6, the Airbus A400M powerplant, was successfully completed on May 31. Testing was conducted by Europrop International GmbH in Villaroche, near Paris, and was witnessed by Airbus Military and OCCAR (l’Organisation conjointe de coopération en matière d’armement). The CMS tests were accomplished on a CMS wet test rig, which is used to create realistic operating conditions. Snecma and MTU Aero Engines are collaborating on the design and production of the TP400-D6 engine.
