CFM Awarded Design Organization Approval
CFM International is the first global joint venture to be awarded Design Organization Approval certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency. DOA works to establish a global framework of quality for the management, responsibilities, procedures and resources needed for the type certification and maintenance of aviation products. “By granting this approval, EASA is certifying that CFM meets the industry’s latest and most stringent requirements,” said Pierre Fabre, CFM president and CEO. EASA executive director Patrick Goudou believes that awarding CFM Design Organization Approval will “stimulate further discussion between Europe and the U.S. on the sharing of design work and the execution of certification activities.”
