The Legacy, Embraer's ERJ-135-derivate corporate jet, comes
to this year's show with a new name the Legacy 600. The change comes as the
company revamps its executive jet naming structure. Embraer so far has
delivered 60 Legacy 600s to customers in 15 countries. The aircraft comes in
two varieties, the $22 million Executive and the $17 million Corporate Shuttle,
with options/features that include high-speed data capability, wireless access
in the cabin, steep approaches and 9,500-ft airport altitude operations. The
600 Executive cruises at up to Mach 0.8 and offers a range of 3,250 nmi,
enabling nonstop flights from New York to London or London to Dubai. The 600
Shuttle seats between 16 and 19 passengers in a business-class cabin; the
Shuttle HC seats as many as 37 passengers.
Future upgrades to the Legacy 600 include enhanced vision
systems, LED lighting, cabin acoustic insulation improvements, electronic
flight bags in the cockpit, new radar with extended coverage, and a 3-D
information and entertainment system. Embraer has a Legacy 600 Executive here
at NBAA on static display.
